A series created by former Blake's 7/Dr Who script coordinator Chris Boucher.

Based on the premise of a multinational space bound police force, the International Space Police Force, working the orbital stations and moonbase on an ad-hoc or part time basis, which is to change on the appointment of a permanent Commander.

The cast consists of:

David Calder as Nathan Spring

Erick Ray Evans as David Theroux

Trevor Cooper as Colin Devis

Linda Newton as Pal Kenzy

Sayo Inaba as Anna Shoun

with Jonathan Adams as Alexander Krevenko.

There are Nine episodes:

1: An Instinct for Murder

A man goes for a swim in a lake, meanwhile in space, a worker leaves the airlock of the Charles De Gaul space station. Within minutes, both are dead!

The 'drowning' is given to the investigative team run by Chief Superintendent Nathan Spring. He thinks there is something 'wrong' with it and orders an investigation. In space, Inspector David Theroux is worried that too many people are dying of 'Suit-Failure'.

Springs' boss thinks he is spending too much money and is pushing Nathan to move on. In consequence Nathan is short-listed for the job of I.S.P.F. Commander. He arrives at the Charles de Gaul, only this time, the victim is a prominent eurocrat. Nathan must solve the case, even though his job, his relationship and even his life may be on the line!

2: Conversations with the Dead

The Good Ship Dedalus is a transport heading through space, suddenly the engines kick in, pushing them off course. They are dead in all but the breathing. On earth, Lee Jones, Nathan's girl friend, is tending his plants. Someone breaks in and kills her!

Theroux is given the job of finding out what happened on the Dedalus, while Nathan has to contend with Chief Inspector Colin Devis, who is investigating Lee's death. What are the reasons behind each of these events.

3: Intelligent Listening for Beginners

Nathan has a problem, actually two, Kirk Hubble and Pal Kenzy, two of his officers, appear to be 'on-the-take'. Meanwhile (Yes he does like multiple plot lines, it's what makes the series work) there is an explosion at a chemical plant in England. A trip out to an outpost facility makes a break for Nathan and David, where they pick up a tip about a possible hyjack of a Moon shuttle. They come back to find Kenzy waiting for them. Enter new recruit Devis and Kenzy's departure for earth, having been fired, Hubble follows a short time later.

4: Trivial Games & Paranoid Pursuits.

The Americans are miffed by the sacking of Kirk Hubble, they have withdrawn their co-operation with the I.S.P.F.  So Nathan goes to the Space Station Ronald Regan, to persuade them otherwise. Meanwhile a call from a house in America starts an investigation into a missing microbiologist, also from the Ronald Regan. Will Nathan be able to gain a quid-quo-pro? Will the reinstated Kenzy be able to complete an investigation to Nathan's satisfaction and will the arrival of a new, Russian, Moonbase Commander interfere with the operation of the I.S.P.F.?

5: This Case to be Opened in a Million Years.

Because of the hypo-gravity staff are rotated back to earth every so often, Nathan is ordered back. Meanwhile, an Italian is sent back to Sicily after being found in possession of drugs. Nathan meets a nice Italian girl, who suggests meeting him when earthside. The Italian attacks Nathan and we're off again.

6: In Warm Blood

A routine shuttle flight fails to respond as it returns. Dr Anna Shoun is sent by Hanimed, the medical company for the flight, to enact the 'search & rescue' on the ship. What is the secret of Hanimed, is there a connection to the shuttle and/or a scientist whose orbital lab suddenly goes silent?

7: A Double Life

A concert pianist performs on Earth while, on the Moon, someone breaks into an in-vitro fertilization facility, stealing some frozen embryos. They belong to one of the richest women in the world, she will stop at nothing to revenge herself on the thief, who is blackmailing her for the embryo's lives. Unfortunately, the evidence points at the pianist. The team must find out what happened, and who has the embryos, before some adults also die.

8: Other People's Secrets

Moonbase Controller Krevenko has invited a psychiatrist to do a quick check on the mental health of everyone on Moonbase. It's voluntary, except for the I.S.P.F. It turns out that someone does need checking out, as there are a lot of 'practical joke' accidents happening across the station. It also transpires that the psychiatrist is one of Colin Devis' ex-wives. Is the joker the maintenance man, Devis or someone else? Nathan's team needs to find out, before something serious happens!

9: Little Green Men and Other Martians

Dying shuttle pilots and mysterious artifacts, a reporter with an instinct for a hot story and Nathan moving to Mars. Against this background, Kenzy, Anna and Devis have to cope with the investigations.
